Life as usual...its been busy. I was extremely sick for 2 days this past week. I couldnt move from laying down on the couch without puking or feeling like I was going to pass out. It was awful. 

Im so glad its getting warmer again so we can start going on our walks to the parks, library, to get lunch...

Anyways this is basically a filler post. We are spending the night at my parents while Spencer works overnight with my mom. I wanted to get some new family photos today but it didnt go to well (none of the kids napped on the drive up and they were all so tired and crabby all day!!) But looking at the ones we did take, I definitely want to wait anyways because I want prettiness behind us not ugly, dead brown! I still got some great ones of Alikah and my sister Heather got the ones of Spencer and I. 

Later in the evening my dad was at the neighbors drinking and they decided to burn down the dead "christmas trees" at the bottom of our driveway.

A neighbor drove past and was like, "Hey those have came back!" and my dad was like, "Not anymore!"

The plan back fired a little bit when we all forgot its surrounded by WOOD CHIPS and all the woodchips started on fire too and wouldnt stop burning....

He was playing with the waffle maker...he was taking fake bread and putting it in it. So smart.

*My best friend that lives across the country is coming to visit in 2 weeks!! Her, her boyfriend and 2 kids will be staying the night here :) I am so freaking excited!!! 

*We will hopefully have a minivan and a car for Spencer in the next week thanks to tax returns :) 

*We are going to surprise Alikah for her birthday and take her to the Dells again. She has talked about a "waterpark birthday" all year. Shes going to be so happy!! Plus Spencer and I love the Dells so were really excited too haha.

im complaining/venting

Alikah got in trouble at school the other day. I guess she couldnt put her sock on and had a massive freak out about it, screaming and crying for 15+ minutes. The owner stayed late to talk to Spencer about it when he got there.
I was pretty upset about it, not only because it happened - but because she is 3 years old. I guess they said they understood that kids have tantrums but "they couldnt deal with it" and Idk, Im sorry but its a day care center. I understand you have a bunch of other kids to watch, but are tantrums somewhat expected?! So, this is the 2nd thing thats happened recently thats made me re-think our choice and maybe we should find a new preschool or just pull her our all together, I dont know...

In the past week Harper has woken up from naps seeming possessed. I recognize this because Alikah had night terrors at about the same age, but Harpers are after naps during the day. The first one he was just freaking out while Spencer was leaving for work, I said I thought he was still asleep so I was yelling for him to wake up. Once Spencer left he ran into the kitchen screaming...then was silent for a few minutes...then came walking out completely normal but looking slightly confused. The 2nd time Spencer was going to give him a bath before he left for work and Harper was screaming and climbing out of the bathtub every time Spencer tried to put him in. Harper LOVES baths, so it was weird. He is sick, too, so maybe thats why these are happening but its hard.

I was really, really hoping that Bodhi wouldnt catch whatever cold we all have but he did :(
I feel so bad. I hate hearing him cough and wheeze again.
Thankfully he is still smiley and happy most of the time. Just before bedtime is the hardest for him.

I just started birth control last month...(obviously I have never been on it before haha)
I hate it. My boobs are bigger which is cool but my. skin. is. terrible.
I told Spencer I need to find a dermatologist asap or I am going to go insane.

I feel like I need to do an update post. Do I? Ill do a small one...
All the kids are asleep right now and I dont feel like cleaning anymore today so Im doing this instead.

Alikah: Shes still 3. Shes sassy, bossy, she talks back, she stomps up the stairs, she slams her door, she lies - which I hate. Nothing major..."Did you pick it up?" "Yep." Little things like that, but I keep trying to tell her she has absolutely no reason to lie. If she didnt pick it up, whatever, just tell me. By far the thing that pisses Spencer & I both off the most is when she smirks when shes getting yelled at. Cant. Stand. It. Of course she is still amazing and hilarious as well, its just sassitude is on full blast. *Also I never added that she did go back to preschool after getting punched. She decided a few days later she did want to do back. She still says Briana is mean though....

Harper: Harper gets funnier every day. Hes getting a lot better at talking, too! Still loves dancing, baths, playing with Alikah, but his favorite thing is "cooking." He will take out every single pot and pan, set them up, and cook for hours. He moves play (or real) food from back and forth between all of them, stirs, eats, etc. Hes definitely started having tantrums, usually when food is involved, and will scream bloody murder and lay on the ground. I think hes about to switch to just one long nap a day, he keeps fighting his morning naps.

Bodhi: Since hes sick theres not much to update on. Right now he really just wants to be held. Before he got sick he was having more "awake" time but hes pretty sleepy now. It was day 2 of 5 for his meds and I am just really looking forward to him being better. Its really hard to see him feeling so crappy again :/

Me: Im feeling better. All the zoloft side-effects have worn off thankfully. Im tired and busy but for the most part I feel good! Im excited for Christmas :)

Other: My sister Gina is coming home from the Philippines for Christmas this weekend!! She left right after Harper was born, so it will be her first time really meeting Harper AND Bodhi! Sunday is my cousin's daughters 1st birthday party/Christmas with my dad's side. I think we are doing our Christmas shopping next week.

We always have candles lit and the other day I put out a new one that had a little string tied around it. I even thought, "I should take that off." But I tried and it was kind of stuck in there so I just left it......last night the smoke alarm started going off and what do ya know the whole thing was on fire! So that was exciting...I threw the candle in the sink and got the alarm off quickly but I had to spend quite a bit of time last night and this morning cleaning up splattered wax.

Im reading a really awesome Taoism book and I think I might do a post or two with some of my favorite meditations and mind exercises from it.

Harper still obsessed with food obviously. 

Spencer told me I was slacking on my blog, so heres some pictures for now :) I think a big part of not posting was not having a camera, I hate it! I have mine back now though. Also life is busy and I find myself on the computer less and less, usually only to talk to Spencer while hes at work. I do have some posts planned....I still need to write about the NICU and I want to do start posting about weight loss & boxing now that Ive started again.

Hola. Its my dad's 50th birthday today! Happy Birthday dad. We are going over there tomorrow...

Spencer has been working new hours and we both really like it. He will be switching to 2nd shift soon-ish though & well have to change our schedule a little. But Im looking forward to 2nd shift, I think it'll work for us. 

Harper is walking all over :) 

Its funny because I know when Alikah was learning she would hold both arms out to the sides to balance and take it very very slow. She gradually sped up and went farther distances.
Harper though, he thought about this whole walking thing A LOT in advance. The week or two that he would take 2 steps then drop he was always so concentrated. Its like he was taking his time and figuring it all out in his head before he attempted it. So now that hes decided hes got it? Instantly a little pro. 

He walks so confidently. Over this toy? Sure. While drinking my bottle? Easy. 

I love seeing him out of the corner of my eye just walking around. Im definitely not used to it yet. Hes such a big dude. 

Weve been saying this for months but we are going to look into preschools for Alikah. She wants to go to school. She wants to meet friends. Originally I only wanted her gone one day a week, and Id still prefer that but Heather said that might change after Boden's born and I think shes right. 

I know Alikah will absolutely love it, but I will really miss her. I probably need to get used to that though haha.

On Monday Harper has his 1 year old check-up and I have a midwife appointment, so Ill probably do my next pregnancy update then :)

Ill leave you with this...Ive mentioned on here before that I have OCD, but just like in real life I very rarely talk about it. Truthfully, it fucking sucks. Im not going to go into details, but the other day I was obsessing over something and the end result is a chemical burn across my neck. Thankfully, it has gotten much better.

Wanna see? Dont worry I wont show you the worst of it. This is last night & from a webcam, so its the worst quality/least gross. It doesnt hurt, but the itch is like torture. Aloe + ibuprofen help but I cant wait for it to be fully healed. 

It also helps when Alikah watches me clean it and then goes, "You should put some aloe on that."

Spencer suggested we take the kids to Dairy Queen for supper (they have a play place) so I might have to go out in public with my neck wrapped. Im so dumb.

scrubbed & drinking cups

Hi. I on-my-hands-and-knees cleaned our dining room floor yesterday. 
I think it is only the 2nd time Ive done it since we moved here in December.

I had to take a picture because I know they will be dirty by tomorrow.
I swiffer wet-jet them pretty often but they are always dirty so I just ignore it. Well, bitch about it and ignore it. I also did the main part of the living room where Harper smashes snacks and massages the floor with his milk.

I love this picture. That is his "spot" in the playroom. Hes always sitting there investigating or playing. He doesnt like getting books read to him yet, he just likes looking at them. If I try to read to him he just rips it out of my hands to turn the pages. Goodnight Moon is one of his favorites though. Ive had it memorized for years so when I put Harper to bed (if Spencers working late) I say/sing it to him. Or when Im changing him and need him to stay still. Cutie. 

This is why Harper doesnt use sippy cups yet. Instead of sucking them he just chews them and lets the water run out of his mouth and all over him lol. 

Im sure this picture is only funny to me. She told me she was, "drinking like me." 

I asked her how I drink and she said I look up and my throat moves hahaha. Shes right too, I drink really fast and I always look up. Didnt even really realize it until she said it. 

Anyway. Spencer ended up working for my mom yesterday so we (obviously) didnt go to the little festival. Hes meeting Kyle right now for awhile and then their vacas officially start.

Were gonna go to Wal-Mart and get some things for Harp's birthday party & I have to go to the library and re-new my book (Bossypants - Tina Fey, really funny, I recommend) and grab another one to bring up north with us. 


Im on auto-pilot until this weekend. I am so out of it. Blah blah blah.

Why am I up before 7?

I almost got up at 6:12, but I was able to make myself fall back asleep for a half hour.

Harp's birthday was fine. We dont have anything planned for celebrating until his party on Sunday.
Wednesday we walked to Ty's and ate and got ice cream. I cant figure out if he likes ice cream or not. He doesnt know what to think of it.
On Thursday (his actual birthday) Spencer came home from work early. He got up super early to drive to his brothers in Madison and pick up our *new* car. Im not sure how long we get to borrow it for. Anyway, after he did that he went to Kohl's and picked out & wrapped some outfits for Harper all by his self which was really cute I thought.

Yesterday we met up with my mom, Heather and Luke at Strawberry Fest. We will probably never go again. We were expecting more activities for the kids. All it really was was walking through insanely crowded streets & spending money. Alikah lost it at the end and I had to carry her away screaming. I walked into a parking lot but there was a random pile of benches so I just set her down there and let her scream for awhile. She was hysterical for no reason, kicking, gasping, etc. I got her calmed down a little and walked back out but she was one comment away from another disaster so we left. 
Shes done this before and it only happens when she gets extremely overwhelmed/too many people/too much going on. And she gets it from me, so I cant yell at her without feeling bad.
On the walk back to the car she said, "Im sorry mom."
Me: "Its okay. We will probably just skip the fairs this summer." (This is our plan for how, so far the age 3 sucks.)
Her: "Ok. Can I still go to the beach?"

ANYWAY. 
Spencer has a 2 week vacation from work! We have lots of plans & high hopes.
Tuesday: A festival in the next town (Ha. Remember how I JUST said we werent going to any more fairs?) Our landlord/friend told us we should go to it so we are going to check it out.
Thursday: it is supposed to be 100+ degrees. We will either go to the lake or find a store with A/C and hide for the day.
Depending on how close to death we are in our Sauna House, we are going to my parents Friday or Saturday to get ready for Harper's party. Then his actual party is on Sunday :)

Next week were going up to our cabin. The plan is to just pack up and see how long we can stay. Ideally it would be all week, but realistically well see how the kids do. However long it is, were all really excited to get away. I need it, my heads not right. 

a nap-time post

This little guy will be ONE in a week!

Spencer was supposed to work a half day today and we were going to go to the beach but that ended up not happening.
But!! Now hes going to have off all day tomorrow instead! And its supposed to be almost 90* so well probably spend the whole day there instead of just a few hours.

We went outside to play and I was spraying off some toys with the hose, so of course the kids ended up soaked and dirty. I brought them right up to the bath when we came inside but we had no hot water?
Our hot water runs out super fast, but I had showered at least 2 hours before so I thought it would be fine. Guess not.
It wasnt freezing or anything but definitely not a *nice* bath temperature.
I rinsed them off, washed their hair quick then got them out. 5 minutes tops haha.

Alikah is always listening. Always. When we were at my parents on Sunday, my mom at some point brought up that a year or so ago after Alikah peed in her bed she slept on the floor for a few days. (By choice.) She just really hated peeing in her bed.
It must have triggered something in her head because Monday and yesterday she peed in her bed at nap time. Shes napping right now, so im crossing my fingers.

Ugh, ocd. I messed up my face. Im kinda scared to clean anything because I think itll send me on a rampage. I was also feelin pretty shitty on Monday, but yesterday I was able to sort myself out a little bit and have felt better since.

I bought pita chips from the store the other week and now I am in love with them. With cream cheese or hummus. Yum.
Im ordering picture prints this week. We are taking a trip to Target this weekend. I am overly excited for both.

Alright. I should go do dishes. But Im going to get coffee, then come back and watch Deal or No Deal on dvr.
I love/hate this show.

im really tired

Last night Spencer & I started watching Bridesmaids in bed and then we were reminded that the DVD played sucks. We turned it off 15 minutes in and went to bed. I started where we left off at the same time I started writing this and now its been over an hour and Im still just sitting here.

-A radio in Harper's bedroom is always on a country, so obviously he always goes to sleep with country. Anyway this morning I had country playing on Pandora and Harp stopped playing, crawled over and got his bottle and blanket and laid down all adorable like. IT WAS SO CUTE.

-Spencer did laundry last night and one of my fuckin Victorias Secret Incredible bras fell apart. I was just sitting with it on my lap, staring at it and thinking "What the fuck?"
 Alikah asks me for juice and when I got up she says, "Well arent you gonna fix your boob thing?"

-We found a beehive above our porch right when we moved here and just forgot about it. No bees. Well today we went outside to play and when I opened the door to Stabler's room I immediately saw 5 bees hanging out on the screen door. I got the kids set up and killed them all and then watched them for awhile, killed a few more, and discovered another beehive.
SO it getting nice out + all the flowers blooming = all the bees are coming out. YA!!!

-We came in for a quick lunch then decided to walk to the park. There were a few other kids there so Alikah had a blast of course. "My friends are here!!" Harper warmed up to the swing a little bit, but parks still suck for him because all he wants to do is eat all the pebbles and sticks etc etc so I can never set him down.

-On the walk to the park we passed an older man and we all said hi and as soon as we are past him Alikah goes, "He was nice! AND OLD!"

-I dont know anything about one of our neighbors besides: they have an American flag hanging in one of their windows, their grass is insanely tall, one time we watched their 2 sons smash the garage windows for fun, and they had an old van parked in the backyard for a few days. Anyway, today when we were outside I noticed the flag was down. I noticed this because their was a huge fucking python crawling all over the window. It was so....unexpected? Once I showed Alikah shes like, "CAN IT COME OUTSIDE?!!" Ha. ha. ha. The more I find out about this family the more I like them.

When I finally tried to get a picture it was sleeping. Its all curled up on the bottom there.

Spencer was supposed to work until midnight tonight but he just emailed me and said hes going to sleep out there tonight. Neat. I could have went to bed 2 hours ago. Fun.
The movie ended a few minutes ago. It was okay but over rated.

dinosaur jail

Since Friday...
-Wolfgang, Mark & Lisa's dog, jumped out of their truck and ran all over the parking lot when they came to pick up Alikah. It is the worst parking lot I have ever seen, and we were all pretty sure he was going to get hit. Mark and Spencer chased him, a bunch of people got out of their cars to help, and they did end up catching him.

-We ran into Wal-Mart after they left, came back out....and the car was dead. So we had to wait for AAA to come save us. Thankfully his battery was fine, it just spazzed out.

*My internet is being dumb and I cant add pictures. I will asap.-Alikah loved her Easter basket. Her Harajuku jacket & shoes are her favorites (besides the candy of course.) Shes worn them everyday. She also really likes this little duck thing that she could color and put stickers on. She named him Pee. Yup.Jellyfish and mermaids. Some of her favs.-Spencer's parents stopped over Monday to see the kids and give them some gifts from Spencer's grandma and a wedding card for us.

-Our old apartment was trying to sue us for $3,000. It was mostly bullshit (example: new floor in the bathroom because of curling iron burns. Uh, have you seen my hair? I dont even OWN a fuckin curling iron...Oh and January rent and late fees. Really? Because we moved out in December.) After talking to an attorney on Monday we got it down to under $600. Good enough.

-Yesterday I knocked our salt shaker (my new elephant from Pier 1 :() off the counter and it broke. No big deal except for it landed right in between Harper's legs. If it would have fallen 1-2 inches back, it would have been right on his head. Thankfully it was ceramic, not glass, so it didnt shatter all over him and I just grabbed him and put him in the playroom while I cleaned it up.

-The minute we picked Alikah up on Sunday she told me something that I did not want to hear. I emailed Lisa. She emailed me back a half-assed answer. Then last night Spencer took Alikah to the library to return our books and she said something even more messed up. The more I thought about it the more upset I got. After talking about it, we have decided what were going to do and whats done is done but I am disgusted with them all. Absolutely ridiculous.

Harper has his check up next Tuesday so I will probably do his 10 month update then.
Alikah will be 3 in exactly one week! She is so so excited. For her actual birthday I think we are just doing a cupcake/cake. All her presents, etc, will be on Sunday at her cook-out.
Shes distracting me right now by yelling that she is putting her dinosaurs in jail for the rest of there lives...

*Update: I am a dumbass. I hit a cord turning the TV early in the morning when I was still a zombie. Only took me about 8 hours to put 2 and 2 together and realize it was the internet connection. It was still half-way in so the internet was sorta working but extremely slow. I totally broke it, but dont worry, I have it held back in with the TV stand for now.

-Harper has been sitting all day! Funny how that happens the day after I write that he never does...guess he changed his mind over night :)
-Ive been slacking on pictures. My cameras kind of been annoying me lately. It might be something as little as changing the setting its on but I havent even tried. I need to though.
Friday: Alikah went to Nonna's last weekend. We didnt do much. It was really nice out so we went for a long walk and ended up in a neighborhood behind ours. You cant even see it from the main road. Newer houses, especially farther back. One is for sale and we love it but of course itll be gone by the time we decide to buy a house. BUT we are glad we looked because now we know we will definitely stay in town when we do move. We cooked out and ate on the patio both nights, too.
Sunday: We picked up Alikah and went to Wal-Mart. (Wal-Mart is our meeting point.) Bought some brownies.
Monday: I finally cleaned/worked on our bedroom a little. I am never in our room unless I am sleeping. So stuff has been piling up but I always forget about it until I go in there at 11PM. We made the brownies. They were gone by the next day.Tuesday: HA. Like a week ago I told Spencer, "Make sure you at least have pants on him (for bed) because he can probably get his diapers off now." Spencer put him to bed Monday night. I got up with him Tuesday. Yep, he was naked and his bed was soaked with pee. No one listens to me....
But we had planned on doing laundry anyways so it worked out. Hmmm then after afternoon naps we walked to the library. We got there at 5:55...it closed at 6. Theres a church/school a block away so we ended up stopping at the playground for awhile. Alikah loved that they had a huge sandbox.
Wednesday: We walked to the library. Got books for Alikah, two movies (Clifford and Lilo & Stitch), and I got Life by Keith Richards. Its good so far, I tried to read more today when the kids were playing outside but Harper kept eating leaves and sticks so I had to stop :]Alikah's Birthday!
We are having a cookout at our house. April 22nd, so exactly a month from now. So far my parents, Luke, Heather and Joey. Maybe Spencer's parents.
It is weird to say she'll be 3, but at the same time Im never like "Omg I cant believe shes 3!" Shes just so damn smart I feel like shes already 7 or something.

I think I want to make it a yearly thing to go camping for her birthday from now on. She would love it. Us and the kids and then whoever else wanted to come. Actually we'd all love it.

I need coffee.

hand me downs

Yesterday we drove to a trail and took a couple pictures of me in my wedding dress. I really wanted snow pictures haha. Alikah played and Harper slept most of the time. We kind of had to hurry because I have Heather's camera but no charger and it was saying low battery. But right now it says no battery, but is still taking pictures, so who knows.
Tomorrow were all going to Waukesha. Spencer works at the hospital and me and the kids are going to my parents. At 1:30 my mom, Heather and I are going to my Grandma's old house. To go through everything.

Well tag everything we want to keep, then the rest is going to Goodwill. I think Im going to cry. But Im trying to look on the bright side - we do still need a lot of stuff for our house, and we dont have the money for it right now. Her house looks like it was barely lived in since she spent most of her time in Florida. We need couches, a bunch of tables (mainly end tables/storage), patio furniture. If she has any photo albums I want them all. Lamps. Decorations. She had a bunch of dolls. Maybe Alikah would like some. I dont know.

Then on Friday we will have to get a U-Haul to pack and bring everything up here. One of Spencers friends or my dad will help us.I need to figure out what we are doing for Alikah's 3rd birthday! I want to see if we can go to the Dells again because I know she loves that.

Harper is "real" crawling now. He has transitioned from an army crawl/inch worm to a full on crawl. And he is pulling himself up to his knees everywhere. He also rolled off the changing table the other day. It was scary and I dont want to talk about it anymore so.Hey Guys
Friday Spencer's parents stopped over for a bit and gave us some cute clothes for Harper. They couldnt stay long though because we had to meet Mark in West Bend to drop Alikah off. Ive said this before but our plan is still to let them see her for one weekend a month. Eventually every 2 months. Then we will be getting a lawyer to get full custody, so Marshall will not be able to see her once he gets out of jail.Alikah's newest "Person." They get teeth and legs now. And her signature.
Anyway.
When went into West Bend early on Sunday because we had some shopping to do at Wal-Mart and wanted to go to Pier1 Imports. You guys. I had never been to Pier1. You guys. I am obsessed with it. I spent $80 on reed diffusers, scented gel beads, bath salts, a coffee cup, the cutest fucking elephant salt and pepper shakers, wine glasses and a martini glasses that I am IN LOVE with, a table cloth...I think thats all...maybe not...but almost everything I got was on clearance too but yeah I am now obsessed. Spencer made me go and now he is going to regret it haha.

Tuesday morning Alikah woke up crying. She said she had a bad dream about "Kids being mean to me." It was really sad. I did not like it at all :( Also her bed was soaked. She has been doing great at getting up and peeing at night, but she does still wear a pull-up just in case. But she peed way out of her pull-up. I dont know if it was from the dream or not but I think so.

Tuesday I also rearranged the playroom. I had to take everything out to clean the floor so I just put it all back in different. Still dont love it but its better. Once Harper is back in his bedroom and we dont have the Pack N Play in there, it will be much better.

Shower went great!! Ya! I had a good time. My cousin is such an angel for organizing and planing it, especially since she was 8/9 months pregnant! Has a 5 week old little babe now :)
Im going to work on an entry for all the shower gifts, etc, on the car ride.
I actually got a lot of my registry! Way more than I ever did off a baby registry. But babies are just so much fun to buy for :)

Alikah was asking for her bedroom tonight.
I have not slept in 2 nights. (Never fallen more than half asleep, weird/awful dreams/so out of it.)
I think we are ready to go home :)

Hope that damn cat didnt do something stupid.......

I am frustarted and stressed out and crabby.
I am so conflicted on what I want to do right now.

But I did go out and run a quick mile today. I cant wait til its warmer.
Plus my legs and abs have been sore for a couple days now from working out.
Thats always good..

I am so freakin tired today.

I got the dining room cleared out. But now there is piles of stuff in every other room. But at least they made it to the right rooms.
Spencer and Harper have been gone all day. Hes bringing me home a sub. I excited.
I just drank more coffee and it did nothing. I will have to make some more.
I should have napped with Alikah. Oh well.I love this stuff. Even Spencer loves it.
I am totally procrastinating.

Goodwill

Why I love Goodwill: We got these for $1 each last night! Yippee. We do go and also donate a lot there. I like looking at other peoples stuff, even if I dont buy it haha. I feel like I could stay and look around for hours if there werent so many damn people there all the time.
