now we wait

*Court went okay on Friday. I will say this: I (for the most part) "got what I wanted" without doing anything. People, if you are mean and thrive off of drama its going to come back around. This whole ordeal that started with his parents taking me to court, is ending with me being out of the picture and him and his parents going to trial. Kind of back-fired on them.

*Saturday Spencer and I had a really nice time. Alikah was at nonna's and once we got back to our house we just sat around doing nothing with Harper. We went up to bed early and just laid there talking for awhile, which we almost never get to do. I wanted him to give me a back massage.....Do you know how hard that is when you are 9 months pregnant? Obviously cant lay on you stomach like I normally would, laying sideways doesnt work, and sitting up is so uncomfortable. Anyway, about a minute in he was reaching for massage oil and knocked over my full cup of water. All over the floor, my books, the bed. MY side of the bed :( It was a bad idea haha.

*Sunday we went for a walk and took some maternity pictures. I dont like any of just me. Spencer did a really good job, I just dont like how I look at all. You can tell how uncomfortable I am. We took a couple of both of us right before we left and they turned out to be the only ones I was happy with. But thats okay because we needed some new ones! (And Spencer looks really hott.)

*Alikah is still in love with school and tomorrow they are taking a little field trip to the fire station! Seriously, what a perfect 1st field trip for a girl that sometimes says she wants to be a fire fighter when she grows up. Im so excited for her! (and kind of jealous that I wont be there to see it.)

*Lastly: I had an appointment this morning. I told her I felt like *something* was happening and asked her to check me. 3 cm dilated and 80% effaced! Ya! His heart-rate has slowed down and she said hes definitely getting ready to come.

blurbs

Alikah is loving preschool. After her first day I asked her if she wanted to go again and she said, "I want to go 100 days!"
Ive heard about: what shes eaten, playing three little pigs and monsters outside, her friend Lillee, a crabby girl, freeze game, all about her apple print, learning about the leaves changing...
obviously she goes to school with the Kardashians
The 1st day was definitely weird for me. I kept checking the schedule on the fridge to see what she was doing. I wanted to walk past during "Outside" time to see her. If I could have peeked through the windows and watched her the whole time without feeling like a total freak I would have.

But today when Harper took his morning nap, Spencer and I took one too.
And we could definitely get used to that. (Well see if Boden allows this when he arrives.)
Whenever we take walks Alikah has to pick any "wishes" she sees to blow them on Harper. He loves it.
I am so out of it. Dragging myself through everyday. End of pregnant brain, I guess. I feel really stupid and spacey. This post took me so long to do and it sucks haha. Basically: BABY. Holy shit. The baby is coming. Soon. Ahhhhh. I need to pack my hospital bag. We need a car seat. And some diapers...

Spencer has a feeling about this week - October 6th is his guess right now - and when he had a feeling about Harper, it was right! Bellas birthday is the 7th. Im aiming for 10-11-12. Alikah said "20!"
Any other guesses? :)

nudge

Wedding -
I couldnt stop smiling at my cousin Stefanies wedding! I love weddings. Everyone is just so happy. Jake had the biggest smile on his face when Stef was walking down the aisle with her dad.
Alikah was so excited to be a flower girl and she did great! I told her daddy would be sitting in back with Harper, Id be up near the front, and suggested to just "smile and wave." And thats exactly what she did! Haha. During the ceremony she stood in the center, right in between Stef and Jake. Im pretty sure that wasnt her designated *spot* but it was still pretty adorable.
After a few formal pictures we stopped at a gas station for a M&M reward. She chowed them and promptly passed out for a half hour.
We met up with my family at the hotel my grandparents were staying at. Ate some snacks, drank some beer and wine, relaxed, and the kids swam. It was the perfect way to pass the time between ceremony + reception.
The reception was gorgeous and the food was amazing. Alikah ate, like, quadruple what she normally would.
She was excited for dancing the entire week leading up to the wedding....she danced her little heart out during the slideshow and dinner and was completely worn out by the time the dancing actually started.
Spencer took Harper for a stroller walk in an attempt to get him to nap, but it failed. So we ended up leaving at 8:45 with two very sleepy kids.

Court -
Simple answer: It got rescheduled. I go back in October and M will be there on the phone so he can "explain why he objects."

Preschool -
We had a tour of the preschool up the road this morning. Alikah loved it! She did not want to leave.
So now we just have to decide on what days & times she goes.
Im pretty sure we are going to start with 2 half-days a week.
Thats all Im willing to give her up for :)
