Bodhi - ten months

Two months until One Year!?
I still dont feel like writing much so this will be quick & to the point :)

Eats: He still eats baby food twice a day but he doesnt like that he cant do it himself. He likes to eat "our" foods now. Cereal, any kind of cracker, french fries, bread, fruit. He likes sippy cups and juice.

Movement: He can crawl on carpet and outside, but on our wood floors he still just slides himself around. He can pull himself up on whatever he can reach to his knees and to standing. He likes to climb over things, and to walk with you holding his hands. He just started to sit more. He is scared of falling to he whines if you let go of one of his hands or when he thinks hes going to tip over from sitting.

He likes chewing on remotes, exploring, being held and tickled, the cord on the blinds, laughing, playing, going for walks, songs, eating...

He copies if you making spitting noises or do scrunch face. He can mumble mama, daddy, and he says "t - t- t" if you say "Eat?!"
Still the happiest baby ever, taking everything in trying to learn new things. I think he thinks a lot. Hes the sweetest little-big guy. Im really looking forward to watching his personality come out more and more.

And since Im so far behind....

Bodhi - nine months

He had his 9 month appointment today.
Weight: 22 lbs 10 oz (90%)
The doctor laughed when he looked at his chart and was like, "Man this kid gains weight." Haha
Height: 30 inches (95%)
Size 12 month clothes
Size 5 diapers, sleeps in size 6

-4 teeth! 2 top, 2 bottom and hes teething right now
-We think he can say mama, dada and hi
-He waves
-Still army crawls, still doesnt want to sit
-He LOVES jumping. In his exersaucer or with us holding him up.

Eats: 4-5 8oz bottles a day, 2 baby foods. He likes puffs and baby cheetos. Honestly, he could probably eat a lot more of "our" food but....hes probably my last little babe for awhile and I dont fucking want him too :) I want him to stay little forever. Plus I am absolutely terrified of choking. I still freak out about choking with Alikah and Harper too. (He eats food off the floor that Harper drops all the time.)
Sleep: Still in playroom. Bed around 7, I give him another bottle around 11. He wakes up at 6:30 almost everyday...sometime he just whines for awhile then falls back asleep, sometimes I go down and give him another bottle or sometimes if Im already kind of awake we just get up then. Otherwise he sleeps until about 8.

The kid army crawls everywhere. All over the house. He gets up on all fours and rocks a lot but he still hasnt actually crawled. He absolutely loves playing with Alikah and Harper. They all play really well together at times. Him and Harper practically wrestle now because they are almost the same size.

Not much has changed since last month. Hes not as much as a cuddler anymore because he just wants to go go go. Although since hes been teething again he has only been able to fall asleep in my arms twice now, which I missed.
I hear babies cry and I watch them grow,
They'll learn much more
Than we'll know
And I think to myself
What a wonderful world world

Bodhi - seven months

Weight: 19 lbs 11.5 oz - 85th percentile
Length: 2 ft 4.25 inches - 85th percentile
Size 9-12 month clothes
Size 3/4 diapers

Eats: 6-8 ounce bottles. He was eating one container of baby food a day for supper, but I am going to do 2 from now on. So far hes liked sweet potatoes (favorite), banana, and apple. He does not want anything to do with baby cheetos.
Sleep: He has one or 2 short naps in the morning and then a long nap around 3.
We just started sleep training and we are going to do it the same way we did Harper...he is going to sleep in the play room until he sleeps through the night. I put him in the pack-n-play around 8 and he falls asleep pretty quick. Its nice to do it this way because then from 8-whenever I go to bed if he does fuss a little hes right in the next room so hes close. And then during the night I can get some sleep upstairs....he started stomping in his sleep and it woke me up every.single.time and after a few nights of that I was like alright this is not going to work!
Im going to have to start getting creative with the blocks because now all he wants to do is play with them! Its tricky to get a picture before he smacks them away haha

-LOVES his exersaucer. He can move and jump and rock in it now.
-He loves playing on the floor and scooting all over the place, Alikah and Harper, "Wheres the baby?!", tickles, baths, eating, blankies, nunu, being sung too, going for walks, umbrella stollers...
-He drolls a lot and loves spitting.
-Stills rubs my face and tries to get my glasses. He plays with my earrings now too.

5/2/13 - First time in the big bathtub. Took one with Harper and sat in the baby seat!
5/9/13 - First night in the playroom.
He was very sleepy at his appointment this morning. Doctor said he couldnt look more perfect. Obviously :)

Heather (my sister) asked us to stay over all Mother's Day weekend, so we did. On Saturday morning I woke up to people laughing and talking. I thought I was dreaming for awhile. I shook Spencer awake and asked him what time it was. It was 6 AM so I was like what the fuck is going on?? and went upstairs to see.

I walked up and Gina (my other sister that lives in the Philippines) was there!! She had came and surprised our mom for Mother's Day!! Only Heather and a few other people knew, it was pulled off perfectly! Ill have to write about the rest of the day in another post....
See you in October! Love you <3

Bodhi: two months

-At his last doctors appointment he was 11 something pounds, when I weighed him he was 13 but I refuse to believe thats possible, so well say hes around 12 pounds
-Size 1 diapers
-Size 0-3 months or 3 month clothes
-No real smiles yet. Maybe a few?
-Eats pretty often, every 2 hours-ish. Usually 4 oz.
-Usually wakes up 2+ times a night.
-Loves baths, being held, laying in the swing, the vibratey chair, being cuddled, watching and observing his siblings.
-Hes very quiet & content.
-Hes finally getting better from the bronchiolitis! After 2 doctors appointments, a trip to the ER, and restarting his meds.
-He sleeps in our bed all night now. He definitely got used to it. Doesnt like his crib much. But well start putting him in it once he sleeps through the night. I feel like I have to sleep facing him. Almost every time I turn the opposite direction he wakes up and cries... like he knows and is like "why arent you looking at me anymore!?"

He looks so different from when he was born. I definitely think its because hes gained so much weight and looks so healthy and not so much like a sick little grandpa.
Theres a mirror above his swing in the middle of the mobile and he loves to stare at himself. He thinks hes cute too ;)

12/10/12 - Got sick :(
12/15/12 - Met my auntie Gina for the first time!!
12/19 - 12/20 - Experienced my first blizzard

Labor & Delivery: Bodhi

A 10-11-12 birthday came and went. I had told Spencer 10-12-12 and 10-14-12 "work for me" because they are all evens, so of course Ill probably have him on the 13th.
I had been feeling pressure, having irregular painless contractions and just feeling different for days, maybe a week. I would wake up every morning and think, "Is today the day?" because with Alikah and Harper I had woke up both mornings and thought, "This is it!" That morning I thought, "Nope."

We were waiting for Harper to wake up from his morning nap and then we were going to Walmart. Spencer and I were talking in the upstairs bathroom and suddenly I cut Spencer off and said, "Get out! Something is happening." Sparing you the weird details...basically within that next minute I decided maybe today IS the day.

We took our time walking around Walmart but I wasnt feeling anything. We got home, put the kids down to nap and I started having contractions again. So I walked circles around our house. They did not hurt, but they were consistent. I should add that I have really, really high pain tolerance. Unless I think I am honestly about to die, Im gonna shrug it off as being "not so bad." I kept telling myself, "Okay, if I have one more, Ill call...Okay, Im gonna go shower, if they are still coming, Ill call...."

Spencer was a nervous wreck. He was all over the place. I was trying to stay calm but he was making me nervous haha. He was pacing around, asking me what to do, telling me to just come on!, etc.

After I showered I called Labor and Delivery and talked to someone. I told her I was pretty sure this was it but I was having a hard time believing it. She told me since it was my third baby that if I think its time Im probably right, but to wait another half hour and call back. I walked around some more, packed my bag, packed the kids bags since theyd be staying at my parents, tried to clean up a little, just wasting time. Then about 45 minutes after the first call I called again and told them, "I think were just going to come."

Its funny looking back now because the few times I did *time* my contractions they were 1-3 minutes apart. But in my head I convinced myself, "that cant be right. maybe they arent contractions. they dont even hurt!" The whole way to the hospital I was thinking, "This is stupid. Am I even still having them? Were gonna get sent home. Maybe we shouldnt go."

We checked into the hospital around 8. I was 5 cm and 100% effaced.
My midwife wasnt able to be there so the other midwife came. They asked about my water and I told them with Alikah they broke it and with Harper he was almost born in it. They asked if I had any problems with them breaking it and I said no.
At 8:30 they checked me and I was 7 cm. They brought out to the tool to break my water and I said, "Wait!!? Were doing this NOW!?" It was all so so fast. At 9:00 the anesthesiologist came and gave me an epidural. Since I was progressing so fast he just gave me a low dose that wore off within the hour.

My sister Heather and Joey made it to the hospital just in time. Up until then Alikah and Harper were running around all over and we were scared no one was going to get there in time to watch them. The nurses started arranging for some other nurses to watch them in the waiting room for us.

Anyway, seriously the whole ordeal happened so fast the rest of it is fuzzy to me. We took some pictures, tried to relax, and all of the sudden the midwife was checking me and telling me if was time to push. And I was just like are you fucking serious?

I pushed for 12 minutes and Boden Bob Katt was born at 9:58 PM.
He was 7 pounds even (big! for being a preemie) and 20 inches long.
He has dark curly hair just like in a dream I had.
*Fun fact: Alikah was born with a knot in her cord. They had to tell me that if she wouldnt have been born when she was, she most likely would have been a stillborn. Right when Boden was born the midwife said "oh wow" -- Boden had a knot in his cord. A very loose one, thank God, so not as bad as Alikahs. But how weird that they both had that! Boden's cord was also so thick and strong it took them a few tries to cut it!
I got to hold him for a little bit while they cleaned him off but they realized immediately that he was not breathing right and they took him to the special care nursery.

It was unreal. 3 hours earlier, I wasnt even going to go to the hospital.
And now he was here!
Spencer and I were alone afterwards. Pretty silent. Wondering what the fuck just happened?
I was definitely in shock.

I will be writing another post soon about the 2 weeks since then...what Bodhi had, NICU updates and what not. I am so grateful that he is healthy and happy now and that we are all home together.
Our home is filled with so much love.
Words cant describe, really.
