working with it

Ill be writing a post about Alikah's birthday vacation once I have more time!

The treadmill we got off Craigslist works great except for the fact that the display screen doesnt work. (It just says 0 for everything for a few minutes then shuts off.) Which sucks big time because I like keeping track of miles/speed/calories I always did when I went to the gym. I looked online and we did both things they suggested: changed the batteries and check some wires. Neither worked.

So Ive just been figuring it out myself. The speeds are 1-10 mph. Its a turn nob (youll see in the picture) so I figure 5mph is in the middle. When I went to the gym I would walk for 5-10 minutes around 3.4, then run at 6-9 depending on how I was feeling.

Anyway. I time how long I walk - gotta work my way back into running! - and then I use Google to figure out the miles and calories and plug it all into RunKeeper which I have used for years.
These are my last 3. The first one I was just walking while watching SVU haha.
2nd one proved that yeah, this is gonna have to be a when-Spencer-is-home thing!

The control freak in me really hates that the treadmill wont just do all this shit for me so I know *for sure* but Im just gonna have to get over it....maybe eventually I can buy one of those watches or arm bands who knows!

body work

The picture on the left was taken - literally- the week that I got pregnant, and a day after we got married. The one on the right was 2 weeks after Bodhi was born.
This one is from yesterday.
And I didnt lose too much muscle in my arms.
My plan is to box and do cardio at least 3 times a week sometime before Spencer goes to work (or on weekends)
I wish I could say Id do ab work everyday but I wont.
I do other small exercises randomly through out the day everyday just by habit. (Stretches, leg lifts, push ups, donkey kicks, etc while watching TV or waiting for food to cook lol.)
Before we moved I would run at the gym (cant run outside with my asthma) and Im disappointed that I wont be able to do that anymore, I really liked watching how much better I got!
I am at my pre-pregnancy weight but my goal is 110-115 and to tone up. Im not setting a date or anything, thats just where I want to be at.
I might update this with measurements when I find my measuring tape.
Sooo here we go :)

Okay so

Today I got the bathroom all organized, all our clothes put away and a bunch of other randoms un-packed. Still have so much to do and now since I was working on the other rooms, the play room and living room are a mess haha. And Harper ate some MumMums for the first time. He LOVED them! (Like he does all food.) It was so cute and now I know Im definitely going to go ahead and buy him some baby puffs and other snackies. He is such a little chunker.
Mmm, Heaven.

Speaking of Harper I havent done his 6 month update yet! Ah. He gets SO CLOSE to crawling sometimes. He is trying so hard. Its adorable :) Alikah has a cold. Shes acting fine but her eyes keep watering and her nose is runny. We think Harper is getting it now too, but he might just be getting more teeth.

Yesterday's Target trip was a success, Kohl's was a total fail because the returns line was ridiculous! We have to go to a Baptism class at Spencer's church Thursday so we are going to go back then. Tomorrow I am hoping to get either almost the rest OR all of it put away.

I am sore!! My back and legs hurt. Vacuuming and sweeping the ceiling, swiffering, washing, scrubbing, moving boxes, lifting, etc. The base boards in every room have this little 1-2 cm ledge on them and since the house is old and also hasnt been lived in/was just remodeled a bit Im guessing they havent been cleaned in awhile. So, Ive been cleaning them. These tiny stupid little ledges drive me insane. But, I try to squat the whole time to work my legs. I dont always make it down a whole wall, but I have definitely felt it some days.
I was planning on joining a gym up here, we have a tiny one in town or a 24/7 one not too far away but I was thinking about it last night and I think since I usually just run at the gym and do everything else at home, Im just going to start running outside. I have to try it first though and see how bad it messes with my asthma, but that is my plan for now. Im not starting to work out again until after were all un-packed because that is enough work out for me right now. I am tired.
